Well in my case it has gone to watching my grand kiddies, whewwww, I need some of their energy!!! So when the kiddos weren't here I was busting my tail to make some new goodies for my shop. My routine has been so broken but hopefully I'm starting to adjust, ackkkk. Some of you may have already noticed that I put my Etsy Shop on vacation mode about two weeks ago as it was so neglected (pitiful, would have been a better word, lol). So I shut er' down with great intentions of giving er' a face lift but the best of intentions sometimes get a wrench thrown at them, ughhhh.
So above you can see some of my new finished goodies and some that are still in progress. Oooops, just noticed I forgot to put my 7 bars of felted soaps in the picture, still working on that technique. I'm bad though, the only thing in the picture created with my wool is the one Kitty Toy (center). We have had crappy hot and / or rainy weather here so more of my wool processing will come soon I hope, sorry.
I've been working on felted soaps, kitty jingle bell toys, dog squeaky toys, dryer balls, handmade laundry soap and primitive felted bowls for laundry sets. Oh yeah and some crocheted pot holders (for another MHA Giveaway - coming soon!!!), oooopppps forgot those in the picture too.
I started this guy last night...He's looking a little cross eyed so far, lol.

Last week I was wondering where you were, and if you got lost in a mountain of wool! I thought we were going to have to send some sheep dogs out to look for you!
ReplyDeleteI see that you have been very busy though, and everything looks fantastic! And now you've got my curiosity up as to what you are dreaming up next!
and I still say that you don't look old enought to have grandkids!
ReplyDeleteYou can't possibly have grandkids. You're a teenager!!! Okay, please inform me: what is felted soap? Inquiring minds, etc. lol! You are one busy lady. Are you going to post the finished products? I want to see!! xoxo Pam
ReplyDeleteYeah we did miss you...but I know about the kiddos. I too, want to know about felted soaps...and isn't nice to know everyone thinks you're to young for grandchildren? okay, so hurry up with the projects. I also noticed you used sculpey, how the heck do you paint on that stuff?
ReplyDeleteLisa
Oh I love your pictures, all the bright and cheerful colors just like you!! The kiddos can take a lot of energy can't they? I can relate! I thought you were too young for grandchildren too! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you'll drop by my blog, I left you a little award!
Awww shucks ladies thanks for all of your kind words!!! When it comes to my age, flattery will get you everywhere, lol. Remember the days when you hated being carded, now I ask to be carded, lol.
ReplyDeleteThe kick in pants really worked Chris, whoo hoo!!!
LOL Suzie, sending the sheep dogs, hahahahahaha. I like that one!!

BTW Lisa, I hate painting on Sculpey as it takes several coats for good coverage generally, yuck. I love paper clay for painting but somedays it does what I want it to other days it don't...I also like the sculpey because I can come back to it later without fear of it drying before I'm ready, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dede!! You are super talented yourself though!!!
Felted soap posting later today!!
Brenda
Hey Brenda I have a small award for you in my blog!!

We've missed you too Brenda. I was beginning to worry...LOL! I'm glad you're back and all the really cool stuff you've been working on...felt soap?...that sounds really cool. I wish you could come up with a toy that my dog couldn't tear up in less than 2 minutes. He's a big dog with big teeth :D
ReplyDeleteAll is fine out here...it's getting HOT!
I love your guy you're working on too. Carrie and I have been doing some revamping ourselves and are working on some new projects that will soon come to life.
Have a great day!
Bright blessings,
Kathy
Pretty, pretty, pretty! But you are such a tease! Are the paint chips going to be the hangtags for your felted balls? Those colors are perfect!
